Blue Ridge Parkway Photography

Last weekend I participated in the Professional Photographers of North Carolina (PPNC)Western Guild Meeting. It was a great occassion for fun, learning and comraderie. I even managed to walk away with a door prize (cool new Photoshop textures from Scott and Adina Haynes' No Rules Workshop).
After the meeting, I spent a few extra hours touring Rt 221 and the Blue Ridge Parkway. There were a couple of sites I've been waiting to photography under the right conditions as well as a few new ones I discovered that day.

Duke Gardens Photography

Orchid Hill Studios is a proud photographer member of the Duke Gardens. In return for our support, we are permitted to conduct photographic sessions at Duke Gardens. Fall is a great time of year to plan a family portrait on the Duke Gardens grounds.

There are many beautiful locations within the Duke Gardens and Fall is one of the prettiest times of the year to get those family portraits updated for winter holiday cards and gifts.

Vashni and Roberto - Durham Wedding Photography at the Greystone Inn

The Greystone Inn in Durham NC is a beautiful location for wedding photography. I photographed the wedding of Vashni and Roberto in August. Their ceremony was held on the lawn with dinner and dancing on the expansive porch.
