Ground Blessing @ St Francis Raleigh

Last Sunday, Bishop Emeritus Joseph Gossman and Bishop Michael Burbidge presided over ceremonies blessing the ground for new construction at St Francis of Assisi in North Raleigh. Following the ceremonies, the Knights of Columbus held their largest ever BBQ Fair.

St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church broke ground on their new buildings yesterday. Eventually, a new community center, a small chapel, and a life long learning center will be added.

Zero Excuses, Get Yer Funk On

I had the pleasure of seeing and listening to two great Raleigh-based bands last night. Funkaponya & ZEGG co-headlined at the Pourhouse Wednesday night. Each band was graced by sit in horn players who were outstanding! If you haven't had a chance to see either of these bands, make it a point to check their schedules!
